 | About Me | Nov 12, 2009 |
G'morning everyone...whew...what a night. First off, I appreciate folks' concern, those of you who were...but why would anyone assume I wanted to hurt myself, because I asked if anyone had a gun for sale? Hehehe...wow. Someone also called the suicide hotline in my area...so I had 2 sherriff's deputies banging on my door at nearly 1 AM checking to see if I was OK. Kind of embarrassing because I know one of the deputies that came by. She was really sweet, and we both wondered how someone could call and say they were calling from my house...oh well...anyway. Calm down, I'm OK...:-) Proverbs 21:30 There is no wisdom or understanding or counsel against the Lord. Every year at around this time (Resurrection Day......Easter) something comes out against the Lord. Every year. Some years more blasphemous things than others, but it happens every year. Don't get me wrong, there are good things that come out about the Lord too, but they never get any press. If 10,000 Christians show up somewhere, you never hear about it (unless it's some wacko group saying hateful things). But if there are 10 people picketing a church or Christian organization, it's front page news. Recently a new zeal for the DaVinci Code has been sparked. Folks are laughing at Jesus, and making a mockery of His life, crucifixion, and resurrection. Forget the fact that there were 500 people who saw Him after He resurrected. I always hear folks talking about the great revival that's going to take place before Jesus returns. I'm sorry, but that's not scriptural. Let's look at what the bible really says: 2nd Thessalonians 2:1-4 Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, 2 not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
Hmm. A great falling away. Are you seeing it yet? If the devil would use scripture to try and trick Jesus, what makes you think he won't use it against you? He will twist it to confuse you. Or, as is being done in this upcoming movie, he'll just flat out lie. And also, just recently, the "Gospel of Judas" just came out. Forget that it was penned 350 years after Christ's resurrection, and wasn't penned by Judas at all, as he committed suicide after betraying Jesus, just as the bible says he did. The devil's main goal is to take as many people to hell with him as he can. When he tempted Jesus, how did Jesus fend him off? He used the Word of God. Time after time He said, "It is written......." "It is written......." How can we say, "It is written......" if we don't know what is written? It's simple. We cannot. Ignorance of the Word is no excuse. Read it, study it, and know it. When the temptations come, you can also say, "It is written....." Stand strong in the power of His might. Be bold, and be not afraid, for the Lord your God is with you......even until the end of the age. Have a great day and God bless. :-) Pastor James PS: This message was penned back in 2006, hence the references to things of that time. John 1:12-13 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name; who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor a the will of man, but of God. And then of course, we all know John chapter three which speaks of being born again. All human beings are creations of God, not children of God. How do we know this? Well, the verses we just read make it abundantly clear. No one has the "right" to become children of God without believing in Jesus, IE becoming born again followers of Christ. It's not about what church you attend (although you should attend church to associate with other believers), it's not about being baptized as a baby, or even having been dedicated to the Lord as a baby (which is scriptural). Everyone must make his or her personal decision on whether to follow Christ or not. Secular history records Jesus life, death, and yes even His resurrection. There were over 500 witnesses who saw Christ risen from the dead.........500!!! That's not my word, but it comes straight from the bible. See 1st Corinthians 15:1-6. Verse 6 mentions the 500 witnesses. Now, we believe Jesus was born of a virgin, has died for our sins, and has risen from the dead. That's what it takes to be a child of God. Also, you can read Romans 10:9-10 for more clarification. This, I know, is all basic stuff. But we need to get back to basics from time to time. We need to remember it's not about what we've done, but it's all about what He's done. Remember, our salvation is not of works, lest any man should boast, it is a free gift from God. We need to remember to keep the main thing, the main thing. Everything else is pretty much secondary. Is it important to bless others, and to be a blessing? Yes. Is it important to read our bibles, pray, and praise & worship the Lord? Definitely. But we must remember in doing all that, that all we had to do was believe in our heart and confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus, and we were saved! All that other stuff is VERY important, but it's not the main thing. Many times we want people to receive Jesus and immediately be where we are in our walk with the Lord. Guess what? You didn't get there overnight, why do you expect them to? It's foolishness to expect that. We want people to come to church who are already cleaned up, and looking and sounding nice, or in accordance with the bible. The lost are going to look lost. Maybe even some of the folks who are not lost are going to look lost. We cannot judge from the outside, we must see with our spiritual eyes. Why do you think the lost usually don't come to our churches? They feel that expectation of the church that they be "perfect" or at least cleaned up. We have to go meet them where they are. Show them the love of Jesus. When I see someone with purple hair, earrings all over their body, and tattoos all over....that's the one I want to talk to. I know that when they receive Jesus, they're not going to be afraid to witness for Christ, or to live for Him. They're used to not being accepted anyway, so they're not going to get all caught up in pleasing man..........they're going to strive to please God. We should be that way too. Unashamed of the gospel of Jesus, but not rude and judgmental. If you love them, they will come. Most folks know their lives are a mess.........they're looking for an answer, not condemnation. Anyway, guess I've babbled on long enough. Have a great weekend, and God bless......and be a blessing. :-) PJ a diamond stud earring? I'm looking for one about 6mm, sterling silver. I just need one. So I'm hoping someone has one I can buy pretty cheap. Maybe one you lost the mate for, and just couldn't bring yourself to throw the other one out. It could be a bit bigger or smaller too...but I don't wanna go under 5mm or over 8mm. Also, thanks for all your prayers. I'm still in shock sort of. I mean, just think about it, mom and I were together all the time. Not just once she got sick, but even before that. We hung out together, went to church together, took trips together...we were inseparable. At times I find myself still waking up hearing her breathing funny, or jumping up to see that she didn't fall or something when I hear a noise. Anyway, I suppose it's gonna be a process. James | Mommy!!! | Apr 3, '11 10:22 PM for everyone |
I think this is the most difficult thing I've ever written in my life...but perhaps it will be therapeutic for me. My mom went to the hospital friday afternoon/evening via ambulance. En route to the hospital she lost consciousness and was dying on the table in the ER. They asked if I wanted her on a respirator so she wouldn't die that minute. I said yes, and called her sister and her talk to the ER doctor and she told him the same thing. It appears evident to the Dr's that the cancer has spread throughout her body, her kidneys are failing, and her lungs aren't strong enough to breathe on their own. My heart is breaking...my first thought was I don't want to live in a world where my mom isn't... While I was staying up at the hospital my cousin asked me what I wanted...I said, "I just want my mommy!" And of course we both cried. I am at a loss...I'm raw...I've always been the strong one to help...and I'm just not strong now... Thanks for listening to me babble...have a great night and God bless...James Well...........it's been 11 years now...longer than I could have every foreseen. On this exact day 11 years ago I joined the wonderful world of.......................EBAY! I meant it's not something I'm jumping up and down about...but it's still kind of cool, I suppose. :-) James Proverbs 3:7-8 Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, and strength to your bones. A very dangerous thing is when someone thinks that they know it all. Heresies and blasphemies are not far behind that sort of thinking. When it comes to things of God, we all have preconceived notions and beliefs that have to be broken. Why? Because most of them are based on religious doctrine (rules made by men) and not upon the word of God. We, especially here in the US, have become a people of leisure, even when it comes to the gospel. We may even preach a false doctrine of "feel good" Christianity. "Receive Jesus so that you can feel good." That's not the gospel. The gospel is "repent and be baptized." The gospel isn't any other thing, other than Jesus born of a virgin, lived a perfect life, died for our sins, and rose from the dead..........Jesus the Son of God. That's the gospel. When folks get steeped in "religion" for too long, they begin to work outside God's standards. Then begin to think they "know it all." And that, is the beginning of blasphemy. Only God knows it all. I am humbled every time I preach or even speak to these groups, because I know that without the Lord, it would be worthless. If I tried to teach out of my "knowledge"......forget about it. It would be a waste of time for me to do it, and a waste of your time to read it. I don't claim to know it all, and if I ever do, I pray someone would slap up beside the head (to use a Texas term). When we get too "big for our breeches (pronounced britches)" then we tend to leave God out, and try and do it on our own. Hence the very next verse, 8. Do you want to be healthy and strong? Don't be a "know it all". Because guess what? You don't. Neither do I. And I don't claim to. Whenever I say something, or teach something......I base it ALL on the word of God. Not on my own opinion, or doctrine, or what I have been taught.........none of that. I want it solely based upon the word of God. If we don't study the word of God, how can we know it? It's great to listen to Christian radio and watch Christian TV, but you cannot use that as an excuse not to be part of the body of Christ. You must be under the authority of a pastor in a home church. If not, you'll be bouncing off walls and thinking you know it all, when in reality you know very little if anything. Because your beliefs are not based upon the word of God, but upon what you "feel" or "think". That's not good. We need to have structure. We need a pastor we can go to and share with......who can counsel us and pray for us, and yes, correct us when we need it to keep us in line. There are no "Lone Ranger" Christians. And those who are out there......have little or no love. They may have all kinds of things.....they may have enormous faith....but without love, they are worthless. (See 1st Corinthian 13) We don't know it all. And on this earth, we never will. Study the word, and be under the authority of a pastor so that you don't get off in left field somewhere. So let's not be wise in our own eyes. Let's put others in higher regard than ourselves and be the people of love that we have been called to be. For Jesus said, "This is my commandment that you love one another, that your joy may be full." (There are many references John 13:34-35, John 15:12........) Good day and God bless. Pastor James Psalm 34:13-14 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. Oh my. What does all that mean? It seems to be pretty clear. It's easy to get caught up in speaking evil......things that tear down, rather than lift up. I like to look at this way: Consider we are a hammer in the hands of the Lord. Now a hammer can do many things. It can be used to build things; such as a house, table, chairs......useful things. Or it can be used to destroy. The same is true with our tongues. When we let ourselves get caught up in different attitudes that are around, we can be used by the enemy as a hammer of destruction. Mostly by speaking words of discouragement, rather than words of encouragement. We've got to purpose in our hearts to be instruments of restoration in the Master's hands, rather than instruments of destruction in the hands of the devil. And don't kid yourself, you can slip right into it without much coaxing. It's easy to do. One thing I have recently been convicted of, is that I don't spend enough time in prayer. We have really dropped the ball there. At least I have. When we spend quality time with God, we won't be easily swayed from doing that which pleases Him. I encourage you to purpose in your heart to get up an hour earlier each and every day, and spend that time with the Lord. Get on your face, or knees, and just thank Him for all He's done for you. Pray for your pastor, the church you attend, all your brothers and sisters in the Lord here in these groups and elsewhere, your unsaved family members.........the list goes on and on. I don't think you need to make a list. Just get with God, and He will reveal to you what and who to pray for. Pray for the leaders, the soldiers and their families........as I said, the list goes on and on. How about the next verse? Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. So often we find ourselves enjoying things that are quite frankly....evil. Again, I believe that happens due to a lack of communion with the Father. Folks, it's super easy to do. With all the things around us on a daily basis promoting evil.....without a foundational relationship with the Lord, we won't make it. We will fall for it every time. I was listening to Dr. Miles Munroe (a pastor from the Bahamas) yesterday, and he said that Jesus prayed on average for four hours every morning. Perhaps more. He also prayed alone....intimate time between He and the Father. If prayer was so important to Jesus, it should be important to us. We need to humble ourselves daily before the Lord, and spend time with Him throughout our day. It's so very important. We need to encourage those who have just recently given their lives to the Lord. If we are constantly pointing fingers and giving them a hard time......they will soon lose that hunger that is in them now. If we are constantly discouraging folks, are we seeking peace, are we departing from evil.......no. Don't just read this, say "amen" and go on about your days just as before. Make a decision today, to put God first in your day. Get up earlier, and spend time with Him. I had someone ask me, "How can God speak to you? Why does He speak to you, He doesn't speak to me?" Do you know what the answer is? How can you expect a relationship with someone without ever trying to get to know them? Maybe He doesn't speak to you, because you aren't speaking to Him. Jesus said, "Seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened....for those who seek find and to those who knock it will be opened to them." It's just like any other relationship. If you don't spend time together, the relationship becomes strained and you become estranged....or separate. I have decided that I will spend more time in prayer, and less time whining about things. More time talking to the Lord, and less time complaining to others about how unfair things are. Talk to your Daddy, that's what He's there for. He wants to hear from you. He's waiting to hear from you. If you haven't ever talked to Him before, ask forgiveness for your sins. Jesus paid for them. There's no reason for you to be weighed down anymore. Give them to Him. Then seek His face daily, and get in to His word. Get to know Him, you'll be glad you did. Have a great day folks, and God bless. Pastor James
Hebrews 13:8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Praise God!!! He doesn't change with the times or sway to popular opinion. What He did yesterday, He'll do today and tomorrow. What He did for and through the disciples, He will do for and through us. Why??? Because He is no respector of persons. What He did in the past, He'll do now. I am so thankful that my Lord doesn't change. He won't do anything contrary to His word, ever. I find that very comforting. Even people who really love you can disappoint you greatly. It's not an excuse, but it's a fact.......we are controlled by circumstance, and are easily swayed by distractions, and/or our flesh, and what it wants. (Food, sleep, etc, etc...) I really love this scripture as it reminds me of His faithfulness. GREAT is His faithfulness!!! Have a great day, and God bless you all. Pastor James Psalm 30:11 You have turned for me my mourning in to dancing; you have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee glory!!! Also.....Psalm 42:5 Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; for I shall yet praise Him, for the help of His countenance. Glory to God!!! Psalm 16:11 You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forever. The joy of the Lord is my strength........I could go on and on. Only He can change your countenance..........only He can change mourning in to dancing. Whenever you start to feel down, or overwhelmed by what's going on in your life.......STOP!!! Start thanking the Lord for all He's done, for Who He is..............and your attitude will change........you'll start laughing..........you'll enter in to His presence, and all the troubles will fall to the floor. Why? We just read it folks.........in His presence is fullness of joy. You can't analyze God, and explain how He does things......just believe His word and know He will do what He says He will do........only believe. It's so simple that many times we miss it. The point is.......only believe. In James he talks about prayer.......(1:5-8)......how we must ask in faith, not in doubt. God is not pleased with doubt, He's pleased with faith (Hebrews 11:6) Please read all these scriptures I am giving you. The Lord is giving them to me to back up what's being said here, and to fully understand it, you must read the scriptures. Have a great day folks, and be of good courage, the Lord is with you..........if God be for you......who can be against you??? (Romans 8:31) Good day and God bless. James Psalm 50:14 Offer to God thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High. 1st Thessalonians 5:18 in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Oh my. Give thanks. Even when things are going wrong? Yes.......especially when things are going wrong. Anybody can be thankful when every thing is going alright. But when the enemy's attacking and you've reached the end of your rope; praise Him. I heard a good one. "When you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.......God hasn't forgotten you." I really like that. There are many times that we just don't "feel" like praising the Lord, but do you know that that is when it is most sweet to Him? Psalm 33:1 says...."Rejoice in the Lord all you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful." Is that cool or what? God wants us to be thankful for all He's done. Once you begin to praise Him and to thank Him.....all that you were worrying about.......just slips away. There is so much that we can learn about praise. If I were to begin a study on it.....it would take quite a while. If you have a reference edition bible (if you don't; I recommend getting one) look in the back and find all the references to "praise" and go and read them. Then look up "thanksgiving"......."thanks"....and so on. You will be amazed. And by the time you get to the third or fourth one, you may be shouting and praising Him. There is such freedom in dancing before the Lord, and letting go of all that's hindering us. There's nothing like it, and until you let go and just do it.......in praise and worship, you'll be missing something really sweet. Most of us danced before......why not for the Lord? Don't make excuses about why you can't..........just do it. Well folks, if I don't stop now, I might never.......hehehehe. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee glory. What a beautiful day this is!!! This is the day that the Lord has made let us rejoice and be glad in it!!! Amen? Have a great and blessing filled day. TTFN and God bless...:-) PJ Colossians 3:1-3 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. Our finite minds cannot completely comprehend this. When Jesus rose from the dead, we did also. If you look at Colossians 2:11-14 we see that we are buried with Christ in baptism, and are raised with Him through faith. (verse 2:12) This is every single believer. Please "Selah" on this. Meditate, or think strongly on what is being said here. It's a metamorphosis that occurs. This is what happens in the spirit. We may not immediately see the difference in the natural, but rest assured there has been a transformation granted the one receiving Jesus is in line with Romans 10:9......believe in their hearts, and confess with their mouths. The confessing with the mouth means nothing if there is no believing in the heart. That too is a spiritual step. The confessing is visible, the believing is not. Have a great day and God bless. :-) Pastor James Psalm 107:1-2 Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy. Why give thanks to the Lord? Because He is good. How is He good? His mercy endures forever. How long does our mercy endure for? Are we merciful, and when we are, for how long? Praise God, He doesn't have the threshold for mercy that we do. I received love, when I wasn't very lovable. I received mercy when I was not merciful. That's why I believe it's so necessary to remember where we came from, from what we were saved out of. Because once we forget what the Lord brought us out of, the easier it is for us to judge others who aren't any better or worse than we were. Truth be known, they are probably better than we were. All I'm saying is, we have received so much, let's give some of it away, in fact, let's give all of it away! Let's be merciful, even when we don't want to be. Let's love the unlovable, and be merciful to those who show no mercy. Let's bless and not curse. Is it easier said than done? Oh yea. Hehehehe. We were all taught, in one way or another, that we are to avenge the things done to us......but that's not what the word says, is it? Let's give thanks to the Lord, for He has redeemed us from the hand of the enemy. I used to know some real sweet people from church. Mel & Christine Anderson. (Both gone on to be with the Lord.) There is a song that we used to sing at church (and still do sometimes) that refers to this verse........."Let the redeemed of the Lord say so; Let the redeemed of the Lord say so; Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, I'm redeemed, I'm redeemed, praise the Lord!" That's the whole song. Brother Mel used to shout "SO!" after each stanza. Hehehehe. We are the redeemed of the Lord! Let's act like it! Glory to His holy, holy name! TTFN (ta ta for now) and God bless each and every one of you. :-) Pastor James Psalm 134:1-2 Behold, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord. Who by night stand in the house of the Lord! Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord. You know I used to really wonder what it was all about when folks would lift their hands in church. Especially during the singing part of the service. Then when I came to know Jesus more intimately I began to realize that it's scriptural. When one surrenders in war or even to police what is he told to do? He's told to raise his hands in surrender. Well. We are to surrender completely to Jesus. We are offering our hands to Him to do with as He wills. It's a surrender of self, and self will. When I'm singing I'm holding a guitar and I long to be able to lift my hands. I don't look down upon those who can, but don't. But I sure wish I could. How do we bless the Lord? By surrendering completely to Him. We're just giving Him what He paid for anyway. Have a great day, and God bless. Pastor James OK, this is CRAZY new...just wrote it an hour and a half ago, and the music...mere moments ago. My mom has been fighting cancer since May 2010...and praise God, things have been going well...we got a not super great report the other day, and I've been struggling a bit...but the Lord gave me this song today...and it's just what I needed...YES, God is in control. Thank You Jesus! Here are the words:
Ups and downs, they come and go No matter what, I always know God, is in, control
Free from fear, I have relief as long as I stand, on what I believe God, is in, control
I can do all things, He is my strength He is strong, when I am weak God, is in, control
I can stand all day, and all night whatever goes wrong, He'll make right God, is in, control
Stand on His word, for it is true thank You Jesus, all things are new God, is in, control
Psalm 56:11 In God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? There is no need to be afraid. Sometimes it's not physically that one becomes afraid. Not for one's own safety. Most times the fear of man (at least here in the US) is a fear of what people will think. Oh my, will they be offended if I pray for my food in front of them? Should I bring my bible to read during break time? If someone is going through a tough time should I share my faith? I've already found out that people are a fickle lot anyway. You're not going to please everyone. Be nice to everyone. Treat them with love and respect, but don't compromise your beliefs or the word of God to keep from being disliked, or mocked. Jesus always blessed the food, no matter where He was. He didn't worry about what they would think. Jesus is our ultimate example. Now He blessed the food not in pride or in arrogance.......He just wanted to thank His Daddy for the food. I always joke with people and tell them, "You'd better pray especially hard for your food when you go out to eat, you never know what happened to it before you got it." I was a waiter for 3 1/2 years, so I know a little bit about what I'm talking about. I also worked in a cannery when I lived in the NorthWest. Did you know that there is a certain amount of rodent parts and excrement that is allowed in your food. It's true. If they had to remove it all, you'd be paying $10 a can for corn and green beans. I even saw bits of snake and other things that would "gag a maggot" so to speak. PRAY for your food. Don't do it because I said it, but take Jesus' example. There are times the Lord moves me to do something, and many times it's in the big middle of a crowd of people....like in a restaurant or Wal-Mart, or a post office. I used to be a little nervous, but now it doesn't bother me so much. I admit it used to, and sometimes I can feel that stirring in my stomach, but when it's God, just do it. As the scripture above says, "What can man do to me?" He can't take away your salvation. He can only take your life, if it's your appointed time to go. So why worry? God is in control, not man. I've found out that God knows everything.....from the beginning to the end, and all points in between. When you're not doing your will, but His, there is no fear. I always kind of laugh when I see those "NO FEAR" bumper stickers or shirts. If they don't know Jesus, they've got a good reason to be afraid. And truth be told, all of them are. Unless they've totally lost it. There are a few like that, but most are afraid.....of something. Mostly death. I used to say that I wasn't afraid of death before I committed my life to Jesus, but deep down, I was. Mostly I was just too out of it to even think about eternity and much less anything else. But now, I can truly say, I have NO FEAR of what's next. Why? Because I know what's next. Absent from the body, present with the Lord. I'm not dreading that day, I'm looking forward to it. What's there, is to be desired much more than what's here. There's no pain, no sickness, no fear, no hatred, no temptations, no lies, no gossip, no hurtful words, and no sin. Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee glory!!! What do we have to be afraid of? If we're sick, He'll heal us. If we're attacked, He'll protect us. He is our Defender folks. He is our Provider, Healer, Defender, Redeemer.............how many more can you think of? Being single for many years has really been different. I have wants and desires just like anyone else, but I've turned all of those over to the Lord. He is my everything. When He says go, I go. The intimacy of our relationship is quite strong. I can hear Him speaking to me in the middle of a crowd. You know how a mother can hear her child's cry for help in the middle of 40 other kids? I guess that's the best way I know how to describe it. Jesus said, "My sheep know My voice." There are plenty of voices out there giving you advice on what to do and who to believe. Choose to listen to the Lord. He won't let you down, and He'll never steer you wrong. Have a great day, and God bless. PJ Yeeeeeeeeeeeep, now that's what I'm talking about.
Download this and other original video files with Multiply Premium.Hello everyone: We just got back from the oncologist to get the results of the blood tests and CAT scan. The news isn't what we were hoping for, but it's not terrible news. It seems there is still some fluid building up in the lungs and the abdomen. The Dr said he is concerned about the lungs and the abdomen...either or could be the result of the fluid. About a month ago (when mom last saw the surgeon) her CAT125 (tumor marker test) were a little high. They started in the 60's then went to 120's and then 166. Since we had heard from the surgeon not to be too concerned, she decided not to mention to anyone about the elevated numbers. And the last blood test, they went down to 110...so that's good news. But we want the numbers lower...in the normal range which is under 35. The Dr said that sometimes, some forms of cancer can become immune to the chemo. So he's going to change the medicine that she gets in chemo. That is his plan of attack. He mentioned another possible treatment that would consist of putting a catheter in the abdomen to remove fluid and give chemo through. But he said that can be dangerous. He recommends a standard chemo, every 3 weeks with the new medication to completely eradicate the disease. He said it's good that it's not growing rapidly and it's really good that the numbers have gone down. But he wants to aggressively attack this new growth (possible modules in the lungs and abdomen). Mom piped up right away and said she didn't want the catheter in her abdomen, and he agreed that that wasn't necessary and was potentially more dangerous. He asked mom if she would be OK waiting one more week to have the chemo, since she sees the surgeon next thursday (was supposed to be tomorrow, but her office called and changed the appointment because she won't be able to come down till next week). That way he and Dr Kamat can discuss the CAT scan results and his thoughts on treatment. I was bummed when I heard...I'm just ready for her to be over it already...so she can be independent again, and I can work again...the church is helping me some (as a pastor I don't receive any salary I'm volunteer, but during this time they are helping)...but things are SUPER tight for me now...I'm barely scraping by...but I've come to realize...I don't really care...money isn't important...it's making sure she's safe and doing well...that's my job now But I'm not going to let it keep me down...I KNOW the Lord is in control...and this is just another bump in the road, as mom said... So please keep us in your prayers...we really appreciate it... Have a great day and God bless...:-) James
